The new multistage ejectors in the SEM series from the vacuum specialists Schmalz, owe their superiority to their high suction capacity, their high flow volumes and a fast response performance.
As a consequence, short cycle times are attained and the parts to be handled are held with a high degree of safety during dynamic movement. This applies especially to sheets or parts made of porous materials which are under normal conditions difficult to handle by vacuum. The multistage ejectors SEM are currently available in sizes SEM 25, SEM 50 and SEM 100. There are in turn three variants - "without sound absorber", "with axial sound absorber" or "with lateral sound absorber" - available for each size. There are various connection possibilities available as standard equipment for compressed air, exhaust air and sensory technology so that the equipment can be fitted for customer-specific applications.
A multistage ejector SEM is composed of a sturdy aluminum basic housing, a brass nozzle system as well as the seals and valve flaps made of wear-free NBR rubber. The Schmalz vacuum component product line contains precise fitting accessories in stock consisting of vacuum switches, pressure gauges, sound absorbers, solenoid valves and filters so that a complete system for economical vacuum generation can be set up from standard modular parts within the shortest period of time. The multistage ejectors SEM are designed for operation with filtered (degree of filtration 40 µm) lubricant-free or oil-charged air from 4 to 6 bars and operable in the temperature range of 0° to +50° C. The installation position of the compact multistage ejectors is arbitrary, installation being carried out easily and quickly.
Suction pads which are equipped with the multistage ejectors SEM can be utilized with outstanding results for handling suction-critical materials such as cartons, packing materials or insulating materials. These "air-permeable" materials are handled at relatively low vacuum values (up to approx. 40%), and a multistage ejector SEM attains these precise vacuum values at an extremely fast speed.
The gripping and transport times are thereby reduced, the products are held securely, unproductive additional time for the time-delayed generation of the vacuum is virtually eliminated since evacuation at the lower vacuum range is accomplished quickly. Last but not least one should not forget to mention that the multistage ejector SEM has a high level of efficiency owing to its fast response performance which results in a minimum consumption of compressed air.
