Schmalz presents a new variant of its spring plungers: the spring plunger with flexible holder, type FSTF, which is particularly suitable for use in applications where the heights of the workpieces can vary. This robust and compact component can be mounted easily, with the aid of a guide block and a clamping screw, on aluminium sections from the Schmalz product range and on other commonly used supporting systems. The suction pad can be attached with a ¼“ female thread or a ½“ male thread.
 
The special feature of the holder is that the position of the plunger can be adjusted by simply turning and rotating the asymmetrical plastic guide block. This guide block is an injection-moulded part with very good mechanical properties. The guide sleeve for the spring plunger is integrated directly into the guide block and is thus protected against dust and dirt.
 
Particularly in applications in the woodworking companies or in sheet-metal workshops, the robust and reliable spring plungers with flexible holder FSTF provide increased process reliability and thus a maximum technical availability of the material handling system.
