With the large-area vacuum gripper system SPZ, complete product layers of varying sizes and arrangements can be handled quickly and safely. The rational palletising and depalletising of complete layers also results in minimal cycle times.
The use of flexible special foam or of individual suction pads permits optimal adaptation to the shape of the workpieces. This means that it is not necessary to change the gripper when handling varying workpieces. Even partially filled pallets can be handled with the same gripper, since the unused vacuum cells are automatically switched off by the intelligent valve technology.
The system availability and its dynamics can even be improved even further with the optional auxiliary mechanical gripper, which holds the product layers securely together during dynamic movements - particularly in the case of mixed products. The SPZ-M (M for auxiliary mechanical gripper) thus offers even more safety and minimum cycle times.
With the special version SPZ-M-C, it is even possible to palletise goods automatically in deep-freeze stockrooms (down to -30°C). Due to the low temperatures which exist in such rooms, suction carpets (a large number of individual suction pads) made of natural rubber are generally used, together with spindle and chain drives.
