Due to the excellent placing in the German competition, which was organised by the economics magazine "Capital", Schmalz was qualified to participate in the contest for the best 100 employers in Europe, which was organised by the "Great Place to Work Institute Europe".
The best 100 employers in Europe in 2004 were presented in London by the Great Place to Work® Institute Europe in cooperation with the FINANCIAL TIMES. Each of the successful companies received the quality seal of the competition "Best employers in Europe 2004".
In a field of almost 1000 entrants, Schmalz reached a position in the best 100 companies in Europe (the organisation did not publish a list of the actual positions)!
Some background notes: the Great Place to Work® contest is the largest and most important national and international competition for examining the quality and attractivity of employers. The companies and their managements are assessed on the basis of employee questionnaires which cover the subjects of credibility, respect, fairness, pride and team orientation and on as additional personal-culture audit with the persons responsible for personnel management. It is the European version of the American Great Place to Work® competition "100 Best Companies to Work For in America".
J. Schmalz GmbH and all employees are proud of the two awards and the good placings in the two competitions "Best employers in Europe / Germany 2004"!
