The 5th International Sales Meeting was held at the headquarters of J. Schmalz GmbH in Glatten on 26 – 28 January 2005. This three-day meeting was attended by 36 marketing partners from 19 different countries. The employees of our subsidiary companies and trade partners took this opportunity to improve their knowledge of our products in the sector of vacuum technology.
Experienced members of the staff in the Schmalz business units Vacuum Components, Vacuum Handling Systems and Vacuum Clamping systems contributed, with various presentations, demonstrations and workshops, to the success of the meeting.
The most important elements on the first day of the meeting were the presentations of the new Schmalz products in the various business units and useful information on how to utilise the Schmalz website www.vacuworld.com for sales and marketing purposes.
On the following two days, people from the subsidiary companies and sales partners presented their own "success stories" with respect to Schmalz products.
The theoretical knowledge presented in the classroom sessions was extended in workshops. In order to ensure optimum implementation of this theoretical knowledge, all of the participants took part in practical training sessions. They also received a guided tour through the factory, where they were able to follow the manufacturing processes for the various Schmalz products and had the opportunity of testing the components, lifting devices and clamping systems "live" in our showroom.
Since these meetings are held only every two years, the participants also welcomed the opportunity to get to know each other better, not only on a business level but also privately, at social events in the evenings, which took place in various restaurants in and around Glatten.
