Schmalz continues to profit from the great and long-lasting success of the Motek – the world's leading trade fair for assembly and handling technology - and presented new and proven products at the new fair ground in Stuttgart from 24 to 27.09.2007.
The innovations of the year include new high-temperature suction pads for handling workpieces with temperatures of up to 600°C. With special needle grippers, which are an optimal supplement to the Schmalz vacuum-technology products, materials which are otherwise difficult to handle, such as textiles, fleece, felt, etc., can be handled easily. In the area of vacuum clamping systems, Schmalz presented an absolutely new product: a clamping system for the metal-working industry. Until now, vacuum clamping systems from Schmalz have been used on CNC machining centres in the wood and plastics. With the new system for clamping metal workpieces for machining, Schmalz opens up a further market sector.
In addition to the presentation of new products, the first Motek trade fair in Stuttgart was one of the subjects of the preparations at Schmalz. "The move to Stuttgart meant that there was a good 45% more space for exhibitors at the Motek. We took the opportunity and enlarged our stand to almost twice its previous size so that we could present even more products and solutions to our customers and other interested persons," said Dr. Kurt Schmalz. "This decision has proved to be a good one, resulting in more than twice as many customer contacts than at the Motek 2006. Our task now is to follow up these contacts and convert them into orders."
The trade fair K in Düsseldorf, which will be held in October, rounds off a very successful trade-fair season 2007 for J. Schmalz GmbH.
