The special suspension device for the VACUMASTER provides compensation for the centre of gravity of the load and consists of a beam in which a steel shackle can be moved by means of a chain. The vacuum gripper, which consists of eight suction pads mounted with joints and springs, and whose outer four pads can be disabled, is suitable, as shown in this example, for lifting pieces of varying shapes and sizes cut with a laser or a torch. For this purpose, the suction pad mountings can be slid along the cross-beams.
