The Jumbo shown here is used in a furniture factory for moving mirror-fronted cabinets. The special gripper, which consists of two vertically mounted suction pads, permits simple centring and lifting of cabinets with a width of 600 to 1300 mm. The suction pads can be moved along a linear rail by means of a cable system which ensures that they are always positioned symmetrically on the cross-beam. The venting unit ensures that the suction pads can be released easily from the workpiece and simultaneously maintains the vertical position of the Jumbo.
