The picture shows a vacuum-tube lifter Jumbo with dual gripper being used to handle items of furniture. The vacuum-tube lifter grips the wooden panel securely and without damaging it. A pneumatic swivelling unit on the Jumbo allows the workpiece to be turned from the horizontal position to any desired angle. Messrs. Reiss Büromöbel GmbH in Bad-Liebenwerda uses the Jumbo for loading a wood machining centre. After machining, it is used to swivel the workpiece to permit visual inspection from all sides.

The vacuum-tube lifter is suspended from an overhead crane with a special two-column steel supporting structure which helps to minimise the loss of space in front of the machining centre. Messrs. Reiss also takes advantage of vacuum technology in other parts of the production process. A vacuum-tube lifter Jumbo is also used for taking cabinets from the stockroom and a VacuMaster is used to load a laser-cutting machine with sheets of metal.
