The VacuBox from Schmalz utilises the advantages of vacuum technology and is a flexible, modular vacuum-gripper system for the handling of sawn timber.
A VacuBox consists of several modules: a vacuum reservoir, a vacuum generator in the form of a high-performance blower with safety valve, a filter and a vacuum beam.
Depending on the order, a defined number of planks, often less than a full layer, is lifted. In extreme cases, the system must be able to grip even single planks.
The application video shows a VacuBox being used to grip and move incomplete layers of wooden beams.
