The large-area vacuum-gripper system SBX extends the range of products offered by J. Schmalz GmbH and is intended primarily for the woodworking industry.

The video shows how two double vacuum beams of the type SBX-1.800x400 are used to lift complete layers of planed beams from a stack and place them on a conveyor belt.

The wide range of possible applications includes the handling of complete layer or individual boards and also the commissioning, sorting, moving and palletizing of boards, laths, planks, glued wooden beams, etc.
