Information about Innospann

The Innospann vacuum clamping system can be retrofitted quickly and easily on any CNC machining centre. The modular design of the system ensures maximum flexibility.
Various versions of the system are available:

The steel-plate is made of stainless steel and is cut to match the size and shape of the machine table. The vacuum apertures in the steel-plate are sealed with the aid of magnetic plugs.
Quad bases or mono bases can be positioned freely on the steel-plate.

Innospann Quad Base
The quad base can accommodate up to four standard vacuum cups. Vacuum stops can also be mounted on the quad base for precise positioning of the workpiece during clamping.

Innospann Mono Base
Each mono base can accommodate one standard vacuum cup. It consists of a base and an adapter ring.

Reducing set-up times
By retrofitting an "Innospann Steel Plate", the set-up times on CNC machining centres can be reduced by up to 80%!

Mini-plate for use on grid tables
The mini-plate is used for mounting quad bases or mono bases and can be placed directly on the grid table of a CNC machining centre.
Mini-plate used with quad bases:
The quad base can be positioned freely on the mini-plate and equipped with up to four standard vacuum cups.

Mini-plate used with mono base:
The mono bases can be positioned freely on the mini-plate. Unused vacuum apertures must be sealed with magnetic plugs.

for use on smooth machine tables
The quad base-G has two vacuum connections: The vacuum applied to the first connection fixes the quad base-G on the smooth machine table. The vacuum applied to the second connection clamps the workpiece.
Just like the quad base, the quad base-G can accommodate up to four standard vacuum cups and is delivered complete with four sealing plugs.

Innospann adapter-plate
Just like the mini-plate, the adapter-plate is used for mounting quad bases or mono bases and can be mounted directly on Schmalz console systems with one or two vacuum circuits. The adapter-plate is particularly suitable for damage-free clamping of narrow and curved workpieces.

Innospann standard vacuum cups

Standard vacuum cups can be inserted in quad bases, quad base-G modules and mono bases.
Three versions of the standard vacuum cups are available:

Cup 1, dimensions 80 x 80 mm

Innospann lifting cup
The lifting cup can be mounted just like the standard vacuum cup on a quad base or quad base-G. When compressed air is connected to it, the plastic piston extends, lifting the workpiece from the plate and permitting easy positioning of even heavy workpieces.
Innospann manually actuated 3/2-way valve for lifting cups
This manually actuated valve can be used to control the flow of compressed air to lifting cups.
Innospann distribution block for lifting cups
With the aid of this distributor, up to four lifting cups can be supplied with compressed from a single supply line.
