Minimum dimensions, reliability, safty and intelligence are the attributes of the check valves from SCHMALZ, which play an important role in solutions to vacuum handling tasks. The existing SV range has been developed further to form the new SVK range with a total of five sizes with different power ratings. Furthermore, the new SVK check valves are now shorter, reducing the space needed in the application machines, permitting solutions which were previously impossible, reducing costs and extending the application range of the valves.
Check valves offer decisive advantages for certain handling problems. If, for example, workpieces of differing sizes are to be picked up, it is no longer to adjust or re-position the suction pad, since the check valves switch off the flow of air through any suction pads which are not in contact with the workpiece. This reduces the programming and setting costs and makes operation more economical. In addition, the check valves acts as a basic safety element in the vacuum circuit. If there is a leak, or if a suction pad is pulled away from the workpiece, the valve closes immediately. A built-in filter ensures that no dirt can enter the vacuum circuit via the suction pad.
When the workpiece is blown off, an extremely wide channel in the new check valve opens, ensuring precise positioning of the workpiece. With the aid of these "intelligent" chack valves, many handling tasks can be solved with minimum costs.
