Low-contact handling with floating vacuum grippers

Innovative floating vacuum grippers for low-contact handling of easily damaged parts.
With the "Schmalz Bernoulli suction pads", Schmalz presents a new series of vacuum grippers for the handling of delicate parts, parts with many holes or parts with easily damaged surfaces. Principle of operation: In these vacuum grippers, which operate on the Bernoulli principle, compressed air enters from the top or the side and passes through the gripper, leaving it around the edges. This flow of air acts as an air cushion on which the gripper floats, and at the same time generates the vacuum needed to hold the load. This makes it possible to grip delicate parts with minimum physical contact but maximum safety and to move them to other positions. Lateral forces are absorbed by three elastomer studs on the bottom face of the gripper. Your benefits: - Operation without an ejector; only compressed air is needed - Low-contact handling - High leakage compensation with little deformation of the workpiece Applications: - Handling of delicate parts such as wafers and printed circuit boards - Handling of extremely thin workpieces, such as paper, plastic films and wood veneers, without permanent deformation Ordering and technical data: Type: SBS 40 Article No.: 10.01.01.11624 Diameter: 40 mm Holding force [N] at 5 bar: 6.5 Lateral force [N] at 5 bar: 4.5 Air consumption per minute [Nl/min]: 110 Compressed-air connector thread: M5 Weight [g]: 55 Are you interested in our new vacuum grippers?
