The specialists in the woodworking sector

Suction pads from Schmalz guarantee reliable, fast, careful and efficient gripping and transport of furniture elements, parquet flooring, chipboard and many other things.
|
In the woodworking industry, the automation of production processes with the aid of vacuum is becoming increasingly important because of the continually increasing costs and the demand for rationalisation. But the handling of workpieces made of wood places particularly high demands on vacuum gripping technology since, for example, the workpieces may have widely varying surface finishes and the porosity of the wood from which they are made can also differ.
The special suction pads are available in the versions SHF, SHFN and now also SHFN...E. They are designed for the handling of furniture components, parquet flooring, laminated and unlaminated chipboard and even rough-sawn wooden parts. They thus precisely meet the special requirements which exist in the various processing stages in the woodworking and furniture industry.
Specific requirements in the woodworking sector:
- High degree of automation to compensate for increasing costs and to promote rationalisation
- Damage-free gripping and transport of workpieces
- Handling of workpieces with structured or uneven surfaces
- Safe generation of a vacuum on both rough and smooth surfaces
- Short cycle times with optimised gripping and release of the workpieces
- High acceleration values
- Insensitivity to sawdust and shavings
With this comprehensive series of suction pads for the woodworking industry, Schmalz has once again set new standards in the area of suction pads. The suction pads are available in diameters ranging from 50 to 210 mm.
