Saturday, 22 July 2006, is again the big day: the trainees and sandwich-course students at J. Schmalz GmbH are holding their annual Trade Information Day. Between 9 AM and 4 PM, interested schoolchildren and their parents can find detailed information on the subject of trade training and sandwich courses on our premises.
Stands set up by the trainees will provide details of 14 different apprenticeships and sandwich courses at Schmalz. There will also be a company presentation and a guided tour of the factory premises during which the visitors can see the Schmalz company and its products live. And is this is too theoretical, visitors have the opportunity of participating actively in a workshop with the title "Basic metal-working skills" in the company's trainee workshop, where they can make their own Schmalz memo holder. In this workshop, the visitors can gather their first experience in the use of tools and machines and test whether the planned trade is really the right one. The Schmalz trainees and students, and also personnel manager Martin Helbling and training manager Rudolf Mönch, will be present to answer any individual questions.
After the workshop, the visitors can test their new knowledge in the Schmalz Quiz, with attractive prizes for the best entries. Cakes and drinks will be available to ensure that no-one suffers from hunger or thirst.
