Saturday, 7 July 2007, is again the big day: the trainees and vocational students at J. Schmalz GmbH invite interested schoolchildren and their parents to attend the annual Trade Information Day where, between 9 am and 4 pm, they have the chance to learn more about the many training opportunities available at Schmalz.
The trainees and students have invested a lot of work and effort in creating a comprehensive programme. Various information stands provide information about the form and content of the 14 different technical trades and vocational courses offered by Schmalz. After a company presentation, the visitors can take a guided tour of the company premises, visiting the production facilities, the trainee workshop and the showroom, in which they can see and try out many different Schmalz products. The workshop "Basic metal-working" permits interested persons to gain their first experience in the use of machines and tools. Finally, they can test their newly gained knowledge in the "Schmalz Quiz", with attractive prizes and then relay with cakes, coffee and soft drinks.
Individual questions about the content of the courses, the foreign sabbaticals for vocational students, the trainee day trips and the leisure activities and much more will be answered by the Schmalz trainees and students and by Human-Resources Manager Martin Helbling and Training Manager Rudolf Mönch.
