Handling of radiator panels with integrated heating tubes

The vacuum lifting device VacuMaster makes it possible to handle large and unwieldy metal sheets safely and without physical effort. Messrs. BAUFA Heizkörper GmbH in Dingelstädt takes advantage of these benefits. Previously, four persons had to lift the radiator panels with integrated heating tubes from the hooks after they had passed through a powder-coating plant, a task involving a of of hard work. After this, the panels had to be turned through 90° and placed on a bench. The VacuMaster solves all of the problems. The panels, with the dimensions 6 x 1.5 m and a weight of 180 kg, can now be lifted, turned and transported by a single person.
Due to the varying sizes of the radiators, the transverse stiffeners on the panels are not always in the same position. For this reason, the suction pads of the VacuMaster can be moved to any desired positions on the longitudinal beam of the unit.
The VacuMaster is suspended from a slewing column crane with a slewing angle of 270°. This permits the optimal utilisation of the available working and storage area.
