Under the motto "lots of wind for a good vacuum", the new directly driven blowers of the Schmalz Blower (SB) series generate high volume flow rates in order to achieve a good vacuum. This can be utilised to ensure safe handling of heavy workpieces, even if they have porous surfaces or if their surfaces are not fully closed. The high performance results in a very good safety factor when picking up critical parts and products and permits vacuum gripping of even goods which, until now, were regarded as unsuitable for this technology. The high-performance blowers are thus particularly suitable for use together with the Jumbo vacuum tube lifters..

The Schmalz Blowers heat the exhaust air and their cases only slightly. The same applies to the few, robust components from which they are constructed. They thus require practically no maintenance. Another important advantage is their low noise output (about 72 dB(A)), and the noise they generate is at a frequency which the users find less disturbing than in other vacuum generators.

By fitting the additional Schmalz BlowerBox (SBB), the noise level can be reduced even further, to about 65 dB(A). Due to its low weight, the box, which is available as an accessory, can be used very flexibly. This is supported by the quick and easy mounting of the blower on the basic frame of the Schmalz BlowerBox. In addition, the flow-optimised air guidance system inside the box provides efficient cooling of the blower and thus extends its operating lifetime. The standard version of the Schmalz BlowerBox has a galvanised frame and a cover made of impact-resistant ABS. It is also available, as an option, with a stainless-steel frame.

The blowers are easily mounted and can be operated in a horizontal or vertical position. Suitable installation kits are available for the two alternatives. If necessary, the low weight of the Schmalz Blowers permits them to be mounted directly on a slewing column crane or other lifting systems. An optional dust filter is also available for the blowers.

At the moment, three different models of the blowers are available, namely the model SB-M for the vacuum tube lifters JUMBO 35 and 45 (at 50 Hz) or JUMBO 35-140 (at 60 HZ), the model SB-L for the JUMBO 65-300 (at 50 Hz) or JUMBO 200 and 300 (at 60 Hz), and the model SB-V (with frequency-controlled output) for the Jumbo 35-300. The high-performance Schmalz Blowers are designed for use in all sectors of trade and industry and the vacuum specialists J. Schmalz GmbH in D-72293 Glatten provide a 12-month warranty.
