Energy-efficient vacuum handling

Self-powered vacuum lifting devices VacuMaster Eco

VacuMaster Eco from the vacuum technology specialist J. Schmalz GmbH (72293 Glatten, Germany) is a type of vacuum lifting device that does not require an external power supply enabling an energy-saving material flow. The VacuMaster Eco self-powered vacuum lifting device operates with the existing force of the hoist alone. This force generates the vacuum required for the holding power at the start of the lifting process independent of the respective load weight. To do this, the VacuMaster Eco vacuum lifting device hanging on a hoist is simply lowered on the load to be lifted until the chains are slack. The valve is now switched and the load is picked up. The vacuum is quickly generated in seconds during the lifting process. The load is then picked up in a completely secure way with the subsequent upward movement of the hoist and is ready for further transportation. To lower the load, the hoist is simply lowered again until the chains are slack. The vacuum lifting device releases the load and is ready for subsequent transportation. No electricity, compressed-air or other energy source is required as the laws of physics and a smooth, airtight surface of the material to be transported are sufficient for the generation of the vacuum. 

Versions of VacuMaster Eco are available for loads of up to 250, 500, 750 and 1000 kg with 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 suction pads. These can be easily and quickly moved and adapted to the corresponding workpiece format. The vacuum lifting devices are supplied as units that are ready for operation. As they only have to be hoisted to a crane using a chain hoist, the devices are flexible and can be used at another site at any time. The VacuMaster Eco lifting device can be equipped with supporting feet as an option. These feet prevent damage to the sealing lips of the suction pads when the lifting device is parked and thus ensure a longer operating lifetime. An electronic warning device with a battery test function and a simple, readable, integrated manometer allow a quick, visual vacuum check for due safety when handling the VacuMaster Eco. An ergonomically designed operating handle with a standard additional bracket for the chain hoist/hoist is used for operation.

The VacuMaster Eco self-powered vacuum lifting device from Schmalz provides an extremely economical and reliable device for handling smooth, airtight materials such as raw sheet metal, pre-cut parts and sheet pieces. In addition, the specialist for vacuum technology provides a three year guarantee (in single-shift operation) for the VacuMaster Eco and also undertakes yearly maintenance and service work.
