Nothing is so good that it cannot be improved even further.
Accordingly, the vacuum specialist J. Schmalz GmbH in D-72293 Glatten presents the new development of the year to the international trade visitors at the CeMAT 2005 in Hanover:
the new generation of vacuum lifting devices of the series "VacuMaster".
This innovative development incorporates all of the experience gained by the company in more than ten years of "vacuum lifting devices made by Schmalz", which are used in many different sectors of industry (including metalworking, woodworking, plastics and stone).
The aim of these devices is to make the lifting/lowering and handling of all types of loads easier for the user and to take all relevant aspects, such as ergonomical design, safety and efficiency, into account.
A further product highlight presented by Schmalz at this year's CeMAT is the new layer gripper "Palletizer".
This new gripper, which extends the range of large-area vacuum grippers, is designed for palletizing and depalletizing complete layers of products. Mounted on an industrial robot or a portal, the Palletizer can handle many different workpieces with a single gripper and can also lift complete layers of goods. A special version of the Palletizer is also available for the handling of deep-frozen goods.
The CeMAT, the world's leading trade fair for internal logistics, offered the ideal platform for presentation of the two new products to the international trade visitors.. From 11 to 15 October 2005 in Hanover, it was held for the first time as an independent trade fair for internal logistics. Previously, the CeMAT was integrated every two years into the Hanover Trade Fair, until the organisers, the Deutsche Messe AG, decided together with the industry to separate it and, in future, to make it an independent, global meeting place for technical logistics.
More than 50,000 trade visitors, of which 35 per cent came from abroad, and about 1,000 exhibitors on an exhibition area of 75,000 m² visited the grounds of the trade fair in Hanover on the five days.
Visitors from all over the world came to the stand of J. Schmalz GmbH, where many new contacts were made and existing contacts were intensified in the course of technical discussions.
In addition to the new lifting devices of the VacuMaster series, further products from the three business units of J. Schmalz GmbH were on show. The layer gripper Palletizer was exhibited on the stand of Messrs. Güdel (manufacturers of portal systems).
All in all, this year's trade fair CeMAT was a great success for Schmalz, and we hope to repeat this success at the next CeMAT in 2008.
