Successful VacuTraining course

The right mix of theory and practice. The participants were very satisfied.

On 31.1 and 1.2. 2006, we held our second "VacuTraining" vacuum-technology course at our headquarters in Glatten. The two days were devoted to the basic principles of vacuum-handling technology in the sector of automation.

With 21 participants, this second course was also completely full. The inquisitive Schmalz customers, who came from all over Germany, were first introduced to the basic principles of vacuum technology. This part of the course included theory lessons concerning the most important vacuum components (suction pads, vacuum generators, vacuum switches, etc.) and workshops in which the participants had the opportunity for "hands-on" learning.

In the practical sessions, the participants carried out experiments, made various settings, designed their own systems and learned how to find faults in the systems. The course was rounded off by a technical presentation on vacuum technology in the automotive industry.

The participants, most of whom came from the areas of design, production, maintenance and technical management, were all very satisfied with the course and its content. They said that the course was the right mix of theory and practice and was not restricted to any special sector of industry. Just the opposite, in fact: the course content was designed to cover all sectors of industry and the participants had plenty of opportunities to ask about their company-specific tasks and challenges.

Further vacuum training courses are planned. The dates for these will be published in good time on our website.

If you are interested in attending such a VacuTraining course, you can register in advance for one of the future course. If you have any other questions, or if you want to register, please contact Ms. Sandra Müller (vacutraining-vt@schmalz.de).
