This year's Schmalz Beach Volleyball Tournament was held on Saturday, 29.7.06, as always on the company's own beach volleyball pitch. In very hot weather, a total of five teams fought for the championship. A very well balanced elimination round was followed by a thrilling final in which the stronger team won. In reality, everyone won, since anyone who can demonstrate true sportsmanship at such temperatures is a winner.
Such a tournament does not live only from the games themselves; the environment also plays a major role. For this reason, every effort was made to ensure that the players and spectators were well supplied with refreshments. Cool drinks and tasty snacks from the barbecue guaranteed the right atmosphere, both on and off the field.
