The very complex surface shapes of some workpieces often require extremely flexible vacuum grippers such as the one shown here. This is used for lifting car fuel tanks made of plastic. In order to compensate for the very irregular surface shape, these vacuum head uses two bellows-type suction pads which can adapt themselves to even extreme angles. Since this vacuum head is used for handling various tank models, the individual suction pads can be moved quickly to any desired position with the aid of quick-change adapters. This is an ideal application for the vacuum tube lifter JumboHandy 20.
