In this case, the Jumbo is used in the production of doors. Panes of glass, including fire-protection glass, are lifted with the large special gripper and can be tilted from the vertical to the horizontal position for careful insertion into the door. The suction pad must be positioned precisely in the centre of the panes in order to prevent uncontrolled tilting of the panes. After insertion of the panes, the finished doors are lifted and transported with the same vacuum tube lifter. For this reason, the locking device of the swivelling unit can be adjusted with a clamping lever to prevent from tilting the load. In addition, the desired tilting speed can be controlled through the clamping levers.
