In the solution shown here, the vertical gripper is operated with a separate vacuum supply generated by an ejector. Quick-release couplings permit rapid disconnection from the tube lifter. The vacuum is switched on and off with a valve mounted on the head, and a manometer permits monitoring of the vacuum.
