Palletising and depalletising of chipboards. Improved flexibility with the large-area vacuum gripping system FX-SW in the automated handling of furniture elements
A large-area vacuum gripping system FX-SW, mounted on an industrial robot, being used to handle coated sheets of chipboard
Mounted on a Kuka industrial robot, the large-area vacuum gripping system FX-SW, used here to load an edge-gluing machine with material, offers a high level of flexibility and performance.
This system can palletise and depalletise cut-to-size pieces of coated chipboard of various dimensions, which must not be damaged.
The gripper reacts flexibly to the degree of coverage, since its individual vacuum apertures are connected via flow resistors to the vacuum chamber. This ensures fast gripping and a high holding force. The holding force increases in proportion to the degree of coverage.
Further highlight of the large-area vacuum gripping system FX is that it can also grip rough or porous objects quickly and safely and that the objects can be blown off very quickly. These features permit shorter cycle times and thus reduce the non-productive idle times during handling.
The modules can be activated and deactivated individually to save energy.
