The VacuBox is a complete system for removing complete layers of boards, strips and planks, even with differing dimensions, weights and wood types, from stacks.

Even rough-sawn, untrimmed and warped boards can be transported without damage.

Construction of the VacuBox:

The vacuum technology from Schmalz offers a flexible, modular vacuum system which increases the productivity of wood-working lines and optimises the material flow. The check valves integrated into the suction apertures of the sealing mat permit use of the gripper even when only part of the suction box is in contact with the wood to be lifted.

This permits handling of partial layers or even single boards (with widths of about 60 mm upwards). The vacuum reservoir integrated into the suction box guarantees safe operation and short cycle times.
